The fact that a person's status can be searched for doesn't really scare me. I think the press this is all getting should just be a warning to everyone. WHAT YOU PUT ONLINE IS PUBLIC! I have all the privacy settings on my facebook, but I still don't put things online that my parents couldn't see.
Bing is just making it easier to find things that anyone could find if they tried hard enough anyway.

I agree that people need to realize that things they put up online are public. Many times people forget about this fact and just put up anything. They need to realize that although these things may not impact them in the present, they could come back to hurt them in the future. This new relationship with Bing, Facebook, and Twitter will make it even more important to pay close attention to the things you are putting up online.
