SEO Ranking
SEO is the process of enhancing the volume and quality of traffic of a web site through search engines. I found an interesting article titled "New Techniques Help to Boost Blog's Ranking in Google," (http://www.prweb.com/releases/SEO/linkwheel/prweb3210134.htm) According to the article, professionals those who make their living online, treat SEO like a sport. Michael Smith of metafever.com, intorduced LinkWheel.net, an invention that re-defined internet marketing especially to people who used this innovation as a factor of the optimization strategy. The structure of the linkwheel is well written in content and then a series of blogs that created on a high PR web 2.0. Overall, "linkwheels are an exciting new prospect and one you must consider if you are targeting a long term SEO strategy.

Some of the material you mentioned was very interesting but I am not familiar with the terms that you used. I was wondering if anyone knows anymore about the likes of LinkWheel.net. I couldn't seem to grasp the concept from reading your post. Overall though I found it interesting that you mentioned some out there treat SEO as a sport. However, that seems to be the way that many of the top people in the world treat their particular industry nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is interesting to see how much Google has changed the way websites are created. The article that you reference in your post is a great example of that. Without Google, company's like this would not exist. It is also pushing web designers to create all around better organized and structured websites. This new system for allowing your website to be found is helping to change the internet for the better.
ReplyDeleteI kind of wish you had explained the linkwheel concept a bit better in your post. It sounded interesting but I couldnt quite grasp the concept.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I find it funny that you mention SEO as a psuedo sport. I worked for a small startup company in Boston this summer, and the president and VP were both avid SEOers (who knows if you can say that). On occasion they would both make joke websites on a topic and see who could get higher on the google index. Not my cup of tea but hey whatever floats your boat.
