Social bookmarking and networking has become a huge extension of everyone's presence on the internet. I think this is the forefront for most people being on the web. Certainly your website needs to be relevant with your social site information. I also feel that only people with really useful sites to share or promote should spend a lot of time creating a network of users.
ReplyDeleteOne of the sites that I found about SEO mentioned how using images with text in them does no help search engines since they can't read the image. The article you posted empgasizes multiple ways of using text. Text with keywords in it should definitely come first before trying to enhace a site with graphics.
The idea of linking your site to another site is a great, easy optimization tool. It requires little effort on behalf of the developer but can do wonders for SEO.

ReplyDeleteAlso, good ideas about your wording for browsing. And you are right that searches don't typically bring up images...unless you use role over text with your images so that you have the descriptive words in your coding. :)
